Planting Instructions

• Position: Requires a warm, sunny location receiving at least 6–8 hours of direct sun daily. Thrives in rich, fertile, free-draining soil heavily amended with compost or aged manure.
• Transplanting: Handle seedlings with extreme care—zucchinis have delicate root systems that dislike disturbance. Gently ease the seedling from its cell, keeping the root ball completely intact.
• Depth & Spacing: Plant at the same depth as the nursery cell, gently mounding the soil slightly around the stem base to encourage drainage. Space plants 80–100 cm apart to accommodate their bushy, wide-spreading foliage and allow good airflow.
• Watering: Water deeply and regularly at the base of the plant to keep the soil consistently moist, especially while setting fruit. Avoid wetting leaves to prevent powdery mildew.
• Harvest: Harvest continuously when fruits reach 15–20 cm in length using a sharp knife or secateurs. Frequent harvesting encourages the plant to keep producing new blossoms and fruit over a long season.
