Planting Instructions

• Position: Thrives in a warm, sunny position receiving at least 6–8 hours of direct sunlight daily. Requires fertile, well-draining soil heavily amended with compost or well-rotted organic matter.
• Transplanting: Handle seedlings carefully by the root ball to prevent shock. Plant slightly deeper than it sat in its nursery cell, burying the stem up to its lowest leaves to promote extra root development.
• Depth & Spacing: Space plants 60–70 cm apart in rows 90 cm apart. As a tall, indeterminate (climbing) vine, install a sturdy 1.8 m stake, cage, or trellis at planting time to support heavy fruiting trusses.
• Watering: Water deeply and consistently at the base of the plant to keep the soil evenly moist. Avoid overhead spraying to protect the lush foliage from fungal issues.
• Harvest: Harvest continuously after 10–12 weeks when fruits turn a uniform deep red and yield gently to a soft touch.
