Spinach 'English' (True Spinach) is a traditional, fast-growing cool-season leafy green prized for its smooth to slightly crinkled, dark-green leaves and tender, succulent stems. Offering a mild, delicate, and slightly sweet flavor with no bitterness, it is exceptionally rich in vitamins and minerals. Perfect raw in fresh salads, smooth juices, or cooked gently in stir-fries, quiches, pasta dishes, and soups.

Planting Instructions

• Position: Thrives in full sun to partial shade in fertile, loose, nitrogen-rich soil well-amended with compost or aged manure. Partial afternoon shade helps prolong harvesting during warmer spring spells.
• Transplanting: Carefully ease seedlings from their cells to keep the delicate taproot system intact.
• Depth & Spacing: Plant at the same depth as the nursery pot. Space individual plants 20–25 cm apart in rows 30 cm apart to ensure good airflow and robust growth.
• Watering: Water regularly and consistently to keep the topsoil evenly moist. Shallow, frequent watering keeps leaves succulent and prevents premature bolting (going to seed).
• Harvest: Begin picking outer leaves using a "cut-and-come-again" approach once plants reach 10–15 cm tall, allowing the inner rosette to continuously regenerate fresh greens.
