Planting Instructions

• Position: Plant in full sun to partial shade in fertile, moisture-retentive, well-draining soil enriched with compost. Afternoon shade during warmer spells helps maintain tender leaf quality.
• Transplanting: Ease seedlings gently from their cells to avoid root disturbance, keeping the root ball intact.
• Depth & Spacing: Plant at the same depth as the nursery cell. Space plants 20–25 cm apart in rows 30 cm apart to promote healthy rosette growth and proper airflow.
• Watering: Water regularly with gentle overhead misting or ground-level soaking to keep the topsoil consistently moist. Shallow root systems require even moisture to stay sweet and tender.
• Harvest: Pick outer leaves as needed for ongoing "cut-and-come-again" harvests, or harvest the entire rosette by cutting at ground level once full size is reached.
