Planting Instructions

• Position: Plant in full sun to partial shade in loose, fertile soil enriched with well-rotted compost. A position with filtered afternoon sun is ideal for extending production in warmer weather.
• Transplanting: Handle delicate seedlings gently, taking care to protect the young root systems as you ease them from their container.
• Depth & Spacing: Plant at the same depth as they were sitting in their nursery pot. Space individual plants 20–25 cm apart to give each distinct head space to fill out, or plant closer together (10–15 cm) for a denser leaf-harvest layout.
• Watering: Water shallowly and regularly to keep the top layer of soil evenly moist. Consistent moisture prevents leaves from turning bitter and keeps growth rapid and tender.
• Harvest: Enjoy a continuous harvest using the "cut-and-come-again" method by snipping outer leaves as needed, or allow individual plants to mature into full, mixed-leaf heads.
