Cucumber - Organic Lebanese

Cucumber 'Lebanese' is an exceptionally popular, highly productive variety celebrated for its smooth, thin, dark-green skin and sweet, crisp, non-bitter flesh. Producing medium-sized, uniform fruits with tiny seeds, it requires no peeling and offers a wonderfully refreshing, juicy crunch. Perfect for slicing fresh into salads, dips, and tzatziki, or packing into lunchboxes, it yields an abundant, continuous crop throughout the warm summer months.

Planting Instructions

• Position: Requires a warm, sheltered spot in full sun (at least 6 hours daily) in fertile, well-draining soil heavily enriched with compost or aged manure.
• Transplanting: Handle seedlings with extreme care—cucumbers have delicate roots that dislike disturbance. Gently ease the seedling from its cell, keeping the root ball fully intact.
• Depth & Spacing: Plant at the same depth as the nursery cell. Space plants 40–50 cm apart along a trellis, or 90–100 cm apart if allowed to spread along the ground. Vertical climbing on a trellis is recommended for cleaner, straighter fruit.
• Watering: Water deeply and regularly at the base of the plant to keep the soil consistently moist. Avoid splashing leaves to reduce the risk of powdery mildew.
• Harvest: Harvest continuously when fruits reach 15–20 cm long using sharp secateurs. Frequent picking encourages the plant to keep producing new blossoms and fruit over a long season.
