Celery 'Tall Utah' is a classic, highly dependable variety producing crisp, thick, bright-green stalks with a compact, tightly packed heart. Rich in vitamins, minerals, and dietary fiber, it is an essential staple for fresh salads, snack sticks, soups, stews, casseroles, and healthy juices.

Planting Instructions

• Position: Plant in full sun to light afternoon shade in deep, fertile, moisture-retentive soil heavily enriched with compost or well-rotted manure. Celery is a heavy feeder that requires rich conditions to thrive.
• Transplanting: Carefully ease seedlings from their nursery cells to keep the delicate root system intact. Handle gentle stem bases with care.
• Depth & Spacing: Plant into the ground at the exact depth of the nursery pot—taking special care not to bury the central crown where new stalks emerge. Space individual plants 25–30 cm apart in rows 35–40 cm apart.
• Watering: Water frequently and deeply to keep the soil consistently moist at all times. Celery has a shallow root system and high water requirement; letting the soil dry out results in tough, bitter stalks.
• Harvest: Begin harvesting individual outer stalks as needed once they reach 20–25 cm tall, or harvest the entire stalk cluster by cutting the plant cleanly off at ground level around 12–16 weeks after transplanting.
