Planting Instructions

• Position: Plant in a warm, sunny position receiving at least 6–8 hours of direct sun daily. Requires rich, fertile, well-draining soil heavily enriched with organic compost.
• Transplanting: Handle seedlings gently to protect their soft stems and delicate roots, easing them carefully from the nursery cell.
• Depth & Spacing: Plant at the same depth as the nursery pot. Space individual plants 25–30 cm apart to allow for branching and proper airflow around the leaves.
• Watering: Water regularly at the base of the plant to keep soil evenly moist but never waterlogged. Avoid wetting the leaves to protect against fungal foliage issues.
• Harvest: Pinch out the top growing tips regularly once plants reach 15–20 cm tall to encourage bushy growth and prevent flowering. Harvest individual leaves from the top down as needed for cooking.
