Native to the lush mountain slopes of the Western Cape of South Africa, Buchu (Agathosma betulina, formerly Barosma betulina) holds a storied legacy in traditional Khoisan herbal medicine. • Infusion (Tea): Add 1 teaspoon of dried Buchu leaf to 1 cup of freshly boiled water. Cover immediately with a lid (to trap the precious aromatic volatile oils) and steep for 10–12 minutes. Strain and sip warm 2–3 times daily.
• Practitioner Tip: Best taken warm to encourage its aromatic soothing action throughout the urinary and digestive tracts.
